What Should I Expect During My First Six Sessions?

Visit 1 - INVESTIGATION & EXAMINATION - detailed conversation and investigation with you into the nature of your pain, followed by observations of movement, palpation of the body, and special physical tests

Visit 2 - FASCIAL RELEASE NEEDLING - massage and careful insertion of acupuncture needles under the skin, followed by your active movement to clear fascial restrictions; optional cupping or gua sha instead of needles

Visit 3 - ERGONOMICS & LIFESTYLE - analyze and discuss realistic ways to improve your ergonomics, computer posture and phone habits, repetitive activities in sports or at work; any counterproductive lifestyle behaviors

Visit 4 - SPINE & JOINT ALIGNMENT - perform special types of joint repositioning techniques to gently realign your painful body parts while you are actively moving; optional kinesiotaping and self correction exercises

Visit 5 - CORE & POSTURE EXERCISES - assess posture, control, and core strength to develop key foundational exercises for you to practice at home; optional orthotic consultation or analysis of your exercise routine

How Will I Be Educated Differently at Alté View?

Alté View receives every client in a one-to-one mentorship relationship.  Each session will be proceeded by a short, thought provoking, informative essay sent to you via email that will help to elaborate upon the holistic theme of the upcoming session. This educational material will be written in comfortable (non-medical sounding) language and will be followed by some optional reflective questions to allow you to get the most value from your time in the clinic.

Education is your choice. The reflective essays are optional. The more you put into your sessions, the more you will get out of it.

Educating

What Kind of Empowerment Do I Really Have?

Empowerment to make conscientious decisions about your care naturally follows from a thorough education about your painful condition. Working closely with your specialist involves understanding the best way to accomplish your personal, pain rehabilitation goals. Some patients respond better to treatments from a more Western approach, and others from a more Eastern approach. However, every client needs to experience each “pillar” once in order to comprehensively address the root of their problem.

Empowering

What Happens After the First Six Sessions Are Done?

After the Six Pillar Holistic Method is explored, you will receive a report summarizing our findings from each session with all your appropriate exercises and recommendations, so that you can take them home with you.

You are also entitled to a complimentary follow up consultation to share your experience with your specialist. You can then discuss which of the “pillars” (or treatment strategies) worked best for you, and then decide how you want to move forward with your ongoing plan of care.
